No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile opt-in data and consent are excluded from all third-party and affiliate sharing. Subcontractors that deliver messages on our behalf (for example, our SMS platform provider) may process the data only to send the messages you requested.
Program description
The Cheer Awards offers a recurring SMS program to keep nominees, voters, ticket holders, and sponsors informed about nominations, voting, finalists, winners, and event-day reminders.
How to opt in
On cheerawards.org/auth or our nomination forms, you can check a box labeled:
"I agree to receive SMS updates from The Cheer Awards at the number above. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help."
The checkbox is unchecked by default. You must check it and enter your mobile number to opt in. SMS opt-in is never required to create an account, submit a nomination, or vote.

- Nomination confirmations and reminders
- Voting open/close alerts
- Finalist and winner announcements
- Event-day logistics for ticket holders
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on awards activity, typically 2–8 messages per month, with higher frequency during voting weeks and event week.
Cost & carriers
Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier plan. Carriers including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, and Google Fi are supported. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to opt out (STOP)
Reply STOP to any message at any time to cancel. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further SMS will be sent. You can re-enroll at any time by opting in again on the website.
